Bulls' Patrick Williams Probable to Play Through Ankle Injury vs. Pistons
David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

Williams sprained his ankle in Tuesday's loss to the Raptors, but he's expected to give it a go in the second game of a back-to-back.

The Chicago Bulls do not have any more time for injuries. That's why we have to tip our caps to forward Patrick Williams. In Tuesday's loss to the Toronto Raptors, Williams tweaked his right ankle. He went to the locker room to get it checked out but eventually returned to the game. There's no time to rest, however, as the Bulls are back in action Wednesday against the Detroit Pistons and Williams is listed as probable to play through an ankle sprain.

I'll be the first to admit that I am a little rough on Williams. I have expected much more than what we have gotten from the fourth overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft.

But an ankle sprain isn't easy to deal with. I have to give him credit for coming back into the game and trying to help his team win.

It's been a rough week for Patrick Williams. He once again lost his starting job, tweaked his ankle, and his team is fighting for a playoff spot. The fact he is making himself available speaks volumes about the kind of competitor he is.

Hopefully, he can play without any pain and contribute as much as possible while the Chicago Bulls continue to make a push for the playoffs.
